Inside Sales Representative
Location: Boca Raton, FL or Alpharetta, GA
Basic Function
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for HPCC Systems products with prospective customers, and for negotiating and closing deals that fall below a certain threshold. Deals above that threshold are passed to an Account Executive, and the Account Executive and Inside Sales Representative cooperate to close the larger opportunity. An Inside Sales Rep cooperates with product marketing, Engineering and our account execs to increase the number of deals that HPCC Systems wins shorten our sales cycle and negotiate agreements that deliver value to our customers and to HPCC Systems.
Accountabilities
- Sales activity is by telephone, Web and email
- Primary driver for run-rate transactional business within territory
- Solution selling to existing customer base and new prospects
- Forecasting and managing account/opportunity detail using internal sales tools
- Needs to be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and team player
- Should be able to work independently and with little supervision
- This position does not require travel
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least three years of sales experience selling enterprise software
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Open Source software sales
- Knowledge of the “Big Data” space
- Experience with high-transaction sales (high value deals)
- Significant track record of quota over-achievement versus peers
- Consistent achievement with a background in exceeding quota
- Ability to sell at the CIO, CTO and CEO level
- Knowledge in selling complex products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- This position does not require travel
