2018 internship application period is now open
We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting proposal from students who would like complete an internship with HPCC Systems in the summer of 2018.
This paid program is open to high school students, undergraduate, masters or PhD students who are interested in joining our platform development team to get some real world experience coding a solution for a feature that will actively be used by our open source community in the future.
Internships last for 12 weeks starting in late May running through to mid August and are available to students across the globe. As a result, we are flexible about start and end dates to take account of semester timings across different timezones.
Take a look at the projects we are offering for internships in 2018. Students who want to suggest a project of their own may do so, however your project must:

Final deadline for proposals is April 6th 2018
Final versions of proposals must be sent to [email protected] (not the mentor) by the deadline date. However, we strongly recommend that you discuss your proposal ideas with the project mentor before you submit your final version.
We reserve the right to make earlier offers to students who submit an excellent proposal we know we want to accept.

New to HPCC Systems? Familiarise yourself with our platform and how it works:
- Download the system and play around with it.
- Try building your own system from the sources.
- Once you’re up and running, try out a few examples and tutorials, for example: Introduction to Thor and Roxie, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Example.
- Learn some ECL. Either read the documentation or take a training course.
- Take a look at some video tutorials
- If you're interested in a machine learning project take a look at our machine learning documentation and sources: ML-Core, PBblas, LogisticRegression, LinearRegression, etc
