Hi Guys,

Is it possible to create an empty key inline to use in my code? I did't generated it already, but need it to perform some tests in my code.

Thanks,

Att.

Artur,

We have inline DATASET but there is no inline INDEX. DICTIONARY acts like an INDEX and can be defined inline, so perhaps that will get you what you need.

Or you can create an empty INDEX like this:
Code: Select all
ds := DATASET([{''}],{STRING10 key});
IDX := INDEX(ds,{key},'~RTTEST::EmptyKey');
BUILD(IDX);
although I cannot think of an instance where that would be useful. :)

HTH,
