Is there an easy way to compare code in Production vs code in Development, i.e., two different repositories?

That depends on whether you're using the Open Source Community Edition with its local repositories, or if you have a pre-OSS-style legacy system with a central repository.

If the first, then any file compare/directory compare utility should work. If the second, then look at the AMT.exe tool.
