About our speaker:
Kaustubh Deshpande is AVP International Technology at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, with leadership responsibility for the technology departments in India, Brazil and China. His teams use HPCC extensively to deliver innovative solutions to insurance companies across the world. Prior to joining LexisNexis he has acted as a technology and data leader in several multinational companies including Equifax, AT&T and ChoicePoint. Kaustubh also has experience dealing with a variety of B2B and B2C data sets across telecoms, insurance and other financial services in the US, GCC, Australia, UK and India. Most recently he was responsible for leading data strategy at the Equifax Credit Bureau, leading the decision-making on use of alternate data, in addition to the usual credit data, to complement a consumer’s credit profile. Last year he was invited to guide students at the School of Management at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai to provide education on data and technology. Kaustubh holds a master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Wright State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Come here Kaustubh talk about Big Data Analytics on HPCC Systems
Data is getting Bigger and Bigger every year, every day, every minute. Usual means of linking and analysing the data are falling short as the volume, velocity and variety are exponentially growing. Let us look at a broad picture of how big data platforms, like HPCC, are working in tandem with machine learning algorithms and furthering the cause of coming up with insights from a vast amount of data in a short amount of time. From understanding the terms, AI, ML, Deep Learning to practical use cases– Kaustubh will go through the technologies and make them real. We will look at examples from home (India) and abroad to understand what is hype and what is tactile.
