ERAMIA-RS 2025

The 1st Southern Regional School on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ERAMIA-RS) will be held from November 12 to 14, 2025, at the Institute of Informatics (INF) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil.

ERAMIA-RS is an initiative of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and professionals interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and their applications. The event’s mission is to foster a welcoming environment for high-quality technical training, experience sharing, and inspiration for new ideas in these fields of knowledge.

The program will include introductory and advanced short courses, lectures by experts, technical sessions for presenting research, and discussion panels on career development, applications, and challenges related to the use of AI.

Alysson Oliveira will present a workshop titled “Big Data Processing and Analysis and Application of Machine Learning Algorithms through the use of the HPCC Systems Platform.”
He will also participate in a dual event, where he will give a lecture titled “Big Data from the HPCC Systems perspective.”

About our speaker:
Alysson Oliveira is a Software Engineer at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. His primary role involves supporting and developing training programs for HPCC Systems in Brazil, targeting academic audiences, computing and data professionals, and researchers. He also works to establish partnerships with universities, offering undergraduate students opportunities to participate in scientific projects.
