XXV ERAD/RS 2025

The XXV Regional High Performance School of the Southern Region (ERAD/RS 2025) will be held in person at Itaipu Parquetec, in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The ERAD/RS is held annually by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), by the Special Commission on Computer Architecture and High Performance Processing (CE-ACPAD) and by the Regional Commission for High Performance of the South Region (CRAD/RS). This year, the school celebrates its 25th anniversary, making this edition very special.

The target audience of ERAD/RS 2025 is students, professionals and professors/researchers who work directly or indirectly in high-performance computing and related areas. The event encompasses the three states of the southern region of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná).

The main objectives of the event are:

• Qualify professionals in the south of Brazil in the areas that make up high-performance processing;
• Provide a regular forum where recent developments in these areas can be presented;
• Discuss ways of teaching high-performance processing in universities.

Join us as members of the Brazil Training team will conduct a workshop and a presentation!

The team will be presenting Big Data through the HPCC Systems Perspective, and conducting a workshop titled Big Data Processing and Analysis and Application of Machine Learning Algorithms through the use of the HPCC Systems Platform.

About our speaker:
Alysson Oliveira, Software Engineer at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. His main role revolves around support and development of training programs for HPCC Systems in Brazil, covering the academic audience, computing and data professionals, and researchers. He also works to establish partnerships with universities to offer undergraduate students the opportunity to work on scientific projects.
