HPCC Systems Internship Program Overview

Are you interested in internship opportunities working with open source data lake technology?

Join us to hear an overview of the HPCC Systems internship program and how students can prepare themselves for becoming an integral part of our open source community. During the session, students will be able to ask live questions and interact with the organizers of the internship program.

HPCC Systems is a mature platform that has been heavily used in commercial applications for almost two decades. Created by LexisNexis Risk Solutions, an innovative pioneer in big data processing, and open source for more than 10 years, HPCC Systems features a vibrant development community that continues to push the boundaries of big data.

The HPCC Systems Team collaborates with multiple colleges, universities, high schools and institutions of higher learning around the world to help train and develop the future managers of Big Data projects for working with an end-to-end data lake management solution. Presenter:
Hugo Watanuki,  Manager Community Tech Programs, is responsible for the HPCC Systems internship program at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. He is part of the team effort responsible for supporting the outreach and growth of the HPCC Systems open source community. Hugo holds a PhD in Management Information Systems and  has worked for over 15 years on various technical roles in the IT industry with a focus on High Performance Computing. He is also a part time researcher on Information Systems and a member of the UK Academy for Information Systems.
